Woven Paisley leads the charge in POLLACK’s Spring 2012 fabric collection appropriately named “Gorgeous”.
Offering 28 new fabric designs in this collection with targeted fabric solutions for luxurious residential clients along with designs for high performance contract and hospitality needs; seven fabrics are under $60 per yard and three new SKUs are in the $30 price range.

Holiday Deadlines
You knew it was coming, you probably even mentioned it to your coworkers once or twice this summer and now it’s only 14 weeks until Thanksgiving… and by next Monday, it will be 13 weeks until Thanksgiving.
After subtracting time for client approval, client payment, sending out the PO, getting the COM shipped and calculating transportation time from the factory to Seattle that doesn’t leave much elbow room for production.

Portland
It’s always relaxing to visit Portland and hang out on the West side rediscovering the SW blocks and checking in on a regentrified NW quadrant of the city including the beautiful Pearl District.
Portland has done such a great job of co-mingling residential properties along with shopping, eating and parks. Walking through this section is relaxing and so comfortable. It is always a pleasure to call on design firms and architects here, it’s more like sight seeing rather than work.
Cheers to Portland's Architecture and Design community. You have created some of the most livable neighborhoods in the country.

Progress
Trammell-Gagne’ will begin a small build-out on Monday, July 11th. We are beginning the process of connecting our two showroom spaces. The construction should be complete within 4 – 6 weeks and we will be fully operational throughout. We will do our very best to make your visit convenient but please excuse any dust that escapes the vapor barrier. We look forward to serving you better with this change.

Creation Baumann celebrates 125 years in business

This year marks the anniversary of textile innovator Création Baumann, a fourth-generation, family owned company known for its innovative textiles and eco-friendly production and products.
In 1886 Friedrich Baumann and Albert Brand founded “Brand & Baumann” for the manufacture and distribution of linen goods. After going their separate ways at the start of the 20th century, Friedrich Baumann set up his own business which was taken on by his sons Willy and Fritz in 1930. 
After the Second World War, the enterprise was split into two; an upholstery fabric manufacturing plant and a linen weaving mill. Fritz Baumann took charge of the linen weaving mill, which developed into the trademark “Création Baumann”. In 1951 the enterprise, which was also producing curtain fabrics, relocated to Langenthal, Switzerland—the company's current headquarters. 
Since 2000, the management has been in the hands of CEO Philippe Baumann, a fourth generation member of the Baumann family. Today Création Baumann has a staff of 260 people, 9 subsidiaries, 40 representations worldwide and company showrooms in New York, Paris, Tokyo and London. The company boasts an excess of 6,000 items for window treatments, upholstery, fabric panels, vertical blinds and roller blinds are available. 
“My family, myself and the entire company are very proud to have reached our 125th year as a family owned company. We have been able to stay true to our original vision of producing sustainable, innovative and beautiful fabrics. We look forward to many more years of the same and extend a special thank you to our clients and all who have been involved in our success,“ said Baumann. 
Because of this attention to specialized testing Création Baumann counts among their hospitality and cultural clients the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institute, Wynn Hotels, the British Museum in London the Paul Klee museum in Bern, the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo and the Takano Yuri Cohaku Spa in Tokyo.
