SPOTTED! |Ochre|

There are several beautiful, relaxed interiors in this month's House Beautiful.  Ochre is spotted all over the place and adds a touch of breeze, texture and glam.  Check them out here!

 The Scorpion Lamp adds a strong architectural element to this warm and natural setting.

Turquoise in Twenty-Ten

So everyone has been talking about the color of the year... drumroll please.... turquoise!  We've scouted out some turquoise in this Emerald City, and here's what we've come up with.

We didn't have to go too far to find these lovelies.  Right from the showroom we have Otium's Pancia Vase in Aqua, Emma Gardner Design's knotted wool + silk rug Spray, and Wendell Castle Collection's Shadow mirror done in a high gloss lacquer.  These all get us excited for Spring!

All shades of turquoise are showing up.  Here you can remind yourself of a shade of this year's IT color with the Pantone coffee mug while you sip your morning coffee.

Spots That Sizzle

Many will be out and and about this weekend with loved ones and friends as we celebrate our annual holiday of love.  We've picked a few spots that we are loving right now and hope you will too.  Great interiors, food, drinks and ambiance contribute to our current picks.  Enjoy and let us know what you think!

If you planned far enough in advance to get a reservation at The Corson Building in Georgetown, you are in for a treat.  The communal experience of food as well as it's relation to celebration and culture are the foundations of The Corson Building.  You'll sit down to a relaxed evening (they only do one seating a night) and enjoy making friends with your neighbors.  Each and every night, the menu changes, so you never know what to expect.  Bring your sense of adventure and community.

Bastille, located in Ballard has been open since Summer of 09, and continues to be a hotspot for amazing French cuisine and beautiful interiors.  "A dramatic space of white tile, black ironwork, and a 45-foot zinc-topped bar; light fixtures discovered at the Clignancourt flea market; a back bar that once graced a Seattle mansion; a clock that adorned a Paris metro station; and the hood that used to vent a furnace in Obermaier Machine Works, the family-owned business that formerly occupied the space that now hosts Bastille."  Don't forget to check out the amazing chandelier in the back bar.

Lark, nestled in Capitol Hill, evokes simplicity as well as a commitment to work with local farmers and artisans to create a constantly changing menu reflective of the season.  "Sundstrom’s version of small plates is intended to inspire communal dining with waves of courses coming to your table, a blend of simple, seasonal, classic, and adventurous dishes. You dine, talk, and laugh while experiencing more flavors than with traditional entrées."

Enter into Vessel and you won't be disappointed.  Located in the historic Skinner Building from 1926, Vessel is situated in the heart of Seattle, just neighboring the 5th Avenue Theater, known for it's silent picture shows.  Using original architecture while incorporating a surprising modern aesthetic, it's truly just as well designed as it's cocktails.   If you are looking for an urban downtown bar, this is the place.

ART is located just inside the Four Seasons Seattle.  Named after it's dedication to displaying works from first-generation artists in the Pacific Northwest as well as it's creative food and proximity to SAM, ART and the Four Seasons offer a bold reminder of the ever talented contemporary art community in Seattle.  Read more about the art here.  Whether indulging at the counter or in the dining space,  your experience is sure to evoke your inner creativity.

Always loving white no matter where it shows up.  Whether it be interiors or decorative objects, white is always such a refreshing and clean hue.

What about Walls?

We are loving wall applications, whether it be paper, fabric, tile, panel surfaces or even hair on hide leather.  There are so many amazing options out there today.  Wallcoverings are a way to add brilliant texture, color and pattern to a space.  Here are a few ideas we think are just great.

Kyle Bunting's hair on hide patterns take on walls as well as the flooring they are known for.  Pictured above is Jetstream applied as wallcovering behind a reception desk. 

John Mahoney's Mota Shang in color Riesling.  This large graphic tone on tone pattern creates subtle drama with a touch of glam.

Creation Baumann's Lorien fabric which can be paperbacked for wall application.  Using textiles on walls creates such great warmth.

modularArts panel surfaces build textural shadows from their Mineral Composite material.  You can see the "Flo" pattern applied at the Seattle Aquarium!

And for fun, (couldn't resist the yellow wellies and umbrella to remind us of our Seattle winters) here is Daydream from Hygge and West, which you can find at Hermitage (here in Seattle, but now entirely online)

Happy New Year and welcome to our blog Luxury In Seattle Today... aka | l i s t |.

We'll be reporting on the luxurious design world in the fabulous city of Seattle.  There is oh so much inspiration in this city from landscape, art, music, food and people.  Locals, transplants and visitors all contribute to the soul of Seattle's style.  With a focus on luxury and design, we'll explore and share what this vast metropolis has to offer.

First we would like to introduce ourselves... We are a team that has a passion for design and immerse ourselves in it everyday.  We form the team that drives Trammell-Gagne at the Seattle Design Center. Below we will give a peek into our personal style by presenting our current favorite pieces that are available through the showroom.  Enjoy!

I moved to Seattle 2 years ago from Atlanta, GA.  I met our owner, Tom, in Switzerland on a Creation Baumann sales trip and less than a year later, I packed up and headed West.  I absolutely LOVE design and feel grateful to be able to surround myself with it everday.
